This strengthened the value of the Dollar and the American influence on the global economy.

To keep its industrial machines going successive American administrations resorted to many military invasions and occupations of resources rich countries of the Eastern and Southern halves of the globe under justification of spreading freedom and democracy, fighting communism and terrorist groups that they themselves had created, financed, and militarized. The natives were enslaved to extract the raw materials that were then shipped to the US.
