Before Christ, the Old Testament had been translated from Hebrew to Greek; this is called the Septuagint. It's what Christ and the Apostles quoted. But about a thousand years later, the rabbis created a new version of the Old Testament called the Masoretic Text. Christians, especially Protestants, were conned into accepting it, even though it discarded several books of the original Septuagint, and changed many passages, especially those prophesying Christ. Patrick gives numerous examples. The rabbis even removed 1,500 years from the historical timeline. This important matter is overlooked by nearly all Christians today. I would very much appreciate a link to this post: https://jamesperloff.net/an-overlooked-bible-controversy-septuagint-vs-masoretic-text/.
